Welcome to the Collective!

We’re so glad you’re here!

Spring had sprung, and so have we! The Dandelion Child Collective was started with those wild at heart in mind. Here we believe death can mean rebirth, yellow leaves happen, and “weeds” are just semantics. But mostly, we believe in creating a space where failure is an option, but endurance is the way.

The all too familiar story of pandemic blues sowed the seeds of The Collective creation. In a feeble attempt to bring a little life into our apartment, we bought our first plant, a small money tree (or pachira aquatica as we would later find out) and named it Jose Maria. As that six-inch branch grew into an almost three-foot wonder, we picked up some tips along the way. We now have over seventy-five plants in our collection, and we can’t wait to see yours!

Our goal is to enlighten, foster growth, and maintain an environment where healthy seeds can take root. You’ll find happy houseplant tips, fresh garden recipes, design elements, and a little personality sprinkled throughout. We relish in all things green, delicious, eye-catching, or just plain interesting.

We mean it when we say collective and now that you’re a part of our community, we want to hear from you! Whether you’re a descendant of highly trained botanists or just picked up your first succulent from the checkout counter, chime in and be a part of the conversation. You can submit guest blog posts, comment, or share updates from your home or garden.

Most importantly, we hope to foster your growth and encourage you to grow where you are planted! We understand the constraints of living life so we try to curate a space where everyone can find inspiration that is pleasing but useful, affordable but never cheap. Go grab that shovel, camera, pen, or watering can and let’s get planting!

XoXo
